Die Chinesische Handelskammer in Deutschland e. V. (Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany)

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany (CHKD), founded in 2013, is the biggest network of Chinese companies in Germany. The chamber officially represents the Chinese economy in Germany, fosters the bilateral economic exchange between China and Germany and represents the interest of its members in front of German stakeholders.

Furthermore, CHKD supports its member companies in building sustainable networks and strengthens the inclusion of the member companies into the Germany society. The chamber’s permanent body is the secretarial office in Berlin. In five years CHKD already attracted over 200 Chinese companies from all federal states in Germany and various branches to become a member.

In 2013, the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang announced the foundation of CHKD in Berlin. Since then, the chamber enjoys the PRC´s official support through the aegis of its ambassador to Germany Mr. Shi Mingde, as well as the approval of the German government.
