Norddeutsche Reederei H. Schuldt – founded 1868 – is one of the most traditional privately owned shipping companies in Hamburg. Its 30 modern container ships (1,600 to 8,400 TEU) totalling 115,000 slots are chartered to international recognised lines, whereby the company makes a major contribution to world trade in a growing marine transport market.

Norddeutsche Reederei H.Schuldt fulfils the social responsibility of a modern enterprise through its self-imposed obligation to provide young people with job education ashore and at sea, independent of its own requirements. It staffs 45 ashore, 1,300 seamen.

It is part of Norddeutsche Vermögen Group, which, besides ship financing, as a syndicating house for limited partnership participations, is also active in international real estate development and administration and private equity funding. 27,000 investors have put faith into its almost 100 shipping -, one private equity -, and more than 40 real estate funds.
