Reederei „NORD“ Klaus E. Oldendorff

Reederei „NORD“ Klaus E. Oldendorff was established in 1964 by Mr. Klaus Oldendorff. He started trading with second hand vessels until 1969. In 1970, he took delivery of the first newbuildings. With increasing internationalisation during the 80’s, it became evident that other countries provided more beneficial conditions for shipping companies. Consequently, Mr. Oldendorff together with his wife Christiane, and their two sons Christian und Nikolaus, emigrated to Limassol, Cyprus in January 1987.

Reederei “Nord” Klaus E. Oldendorff operates a diversified and modern fleet of 35 vessels, ranging from containerships and bulk carriers to tankers.

Currently, there are two aframax tankers and six bulk carriers on order for delivery in 2012/2013.

Mrs. Christiane Scola, wife of Mr. Klaus E. Oldendorff, took control over the company after the sudden demise of her husband on the 17th of March 2003.

The company is still family owned and has a fully functional operation also in Hamburg, Germany.
